Edward VIII Uniform buttons Royal Engineers
I have little or no knowledge about British Uniforms and buttons but I have the chance to obtain a a small box of stuff and included are these buttons. The original collector of them had them in a packet with "Rare" written all over it but I am doubtful. I know that Edward VIII abdicated before his coronation (1936?) but are these really that rare and although I hate asking, what are they worth?

Hi Robbo,
I believe these buttons were produced and issued for use at the Kings coronation, but as this never occurred they were never worn and were not recalled from the soldiers they were issued to. I have no idea as to their value I'm afraid.
