Hi Matt, I owned one of these (best part of 30 years) & sold it a few years back, from the details & pics, the leather looks pretty much the same, I remember it smelling 'distinctively old', didn't realize they were made up to the War's end, would make sense though !

The camouflaged ones have nice, strong colours. Most examples of this type I've seen are quite 'washed out'.
