    Good afternoon all

Currently looking at this listed late war leather jerkin & was just requiring your thoughts & opinions!

It is described as put together with several pieces of leather to save on materials, was this typical of the period?

    Thank you & best regards

    Matt

Hi Matt, I owned one of these (best part of 30 years) & sold it a few years back, from the details & pics, the leather looks pretty much the same, I remember it smelling 'distinctively old', didn't realize they were made up to the War's end, would make sense though !

A nice looking jerkin, that is. I think the multi-piece construction gives it character and, during times of war, nothing went to waste.

The camouflaged ones have nice, strong colours. Most examples of this type I've seen are quite 'washed out'.
