Thanks Just making sure. The sad thing is that when my great uncle was in england in 1944 before the invasion he met a lady and they were together for i think 4 months. They had a baby together but when he left for france she still had the baby in her stomach. When he left to france 1 month later she was killed with their baby in an air raid. He really never got over it.

My Mum nearly had the same fate from an accidental USAAF bombing in Nth Amsterdam in 44 whilst at church, 13 killed

Wow she was lucky! My opa lived right behind a V2 rocket lauching station near alkmaar holland he lived right next to the sea wall and every night he would be awoken by hundreds of bombers heading to germany. And the shooting of aa guns and search lights would light up the sky
