And the last two items I purchased from Mr. Holmstrom. The shirt that goes with the Ike jacket and another pair of flight pants (A-10).. Its been a thrilling weekend for me, I would like to thank everyone for reading and their expertise.

SSG Robert Holmstrom is also honored at the carpetbagger museum in Harrington UK..

Hopefully will be adding to this thread even more very soon. I am in talks with his daughter about purchasing all of his medals. I would like to let her know that memories of our heroes are treasured on this site by many and honored more than being kept in a jewelry box. But I respect whatever decision she makes.

So I just received this picture from his daughter. The medals and patches belonging to the man himself and beautifully displayed might I add.. I am supposed to try to meet up with her tomorrow and make an offer. We have a slight schedule conflict but I will do my best...

..... Why do I get the feeling this going to cost me an arm and a leg, followed by signing in blood?

The next step is to call my daughter and tell her to make up the sofa for daddy to sleep on when he gets home..

My old friend and neighbor had his patches and medals in a very similar
display. His daughter is keeping them for now but I will get first chance at them
if or when she decides she no longer wants them.
