Re: New Pickups: Vietnam War Uniforms
The second jacket is post-Vietnam. The unit patch is the Intelligence and Security Command, which came into being on January 1st, 1977. Inscom replaced both the Army Security Agency (ASA) and the Army Intelligence Agency (AIA). The other one is possibly the 7th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, which did serve in Vietnam.

Re: New Pickups: Vietnam War Uniforms
Thanks Dusty; just shows how long a jacket can sit before it's used. Made in 1968 but wasn't used until 77 haha.

Re: New Pickups: Vietnam War Uniforms
I bought some "brand new" at the clothing sales store at Fort Bragg, NC in 1985. They were unused stocks left over from the Vietnam era.

How long was this kind of uniform used? Late 80's?

Re: New Pickups: Vietnam War Uniforms
IIRC, we phased them out in '87.
