I've worn my coat about a dozen times now, and just yesterday I noticed something new!
There was plenty of sunlight coming through the window, that when I opened the closet door, I could just see some stitching on the shoulder. Right shoulder has enough thread to make out where a "shoulder eagle" once was (rectangle outline). And there is just one thread showing on the left shoulder. So I sourced a pair of repo eagles from the US, and I'll put some back on.

Also, if you look back at the first photo I posted... Those are the only buttons on the outside. So I can't actually button up the lapels in a cold wind. Since I have a set of original brass RCAF buttons, I figure I'll put a couple on for the lapel holes. Or maybe I should try to find some matching plastic ones.
