Unidentified uniform. European, not Dutch, British, French, or German. Any infomation as to country, badges and insignia would be appreciated.

I would GUESS that the shoulder strap insignia represents 6th Cavalry Regt?

I have no idea on the breast badge.

I don't know very much (read: practically nothing ) about Belgian uniforms and insignia, but my curiosity was piqued, so I googled around a bit and came up with a few answers (and even a photograph of a uniform very much like this one in wear).

• The breast badge with the rings and swords is a Belgian military sports badge.
• The sleeve patch with the lion's head is for the 1st Independent Belgian Brigade.
• The white collar patch with the black upper border as well as the shoulder strap device with the crossed lances identify Lancers (Lanciers).
