Shirts, Bush, ATS (Jungle Green)

Hiya, here is the ATS issue shirt, bush. Often called a Bush Jacket. Made in Jungle Green airtex material. It was designed for wear in the Far East.

Made in India by "Dawoodsom" in 1945.

It has an ATS lanyard in colours colours to the shoulder.

A stylish and practical jacket. It was issued with matching trousers.

Here is my example of a jungle green jacket and trousers, not ATS pattern though. Big size as well, too big for me in fact. It has blackened pips on the shoulders and economy buttons on the jacket. I just need a cap to go with it now.....any suggestions on the cap I should look for?

I have a slouch hat but its tiny, almost baby head size. Ade, was there a jungle green issue field service cap? I remember seeing one for sale a few years ago. But only seen one so far.

There was a FS Cap produced in denim material (like the BD denims), which was a sort of green colour. I believe it was Indian issue. Perhaps this is what helldunkle was thinking of?

I held the cap and inspected it, It was a light weight green denim I think, not unlike airtex. It was unusual in that it had no buttons on the front and no facility for them. It was FS cap shaped though and stamped inside. I wish I had bought it now.
