I am reading a very interesting book about WWI called Six Weeks and it recounts an incident when Anthony Eden was told that he had his holster on the wrong side and he said he would position it correctly after that days battle. At the end of the day he found it had been hit by shrapnel and it was agreed that he would always wear it the wrong way round as it had saved him from injury.

Maybe he should have bought 20 more and positioned them all around his whole body? Or just had a great big one made and worn it?

Sounds interesting, though.

I would highly recommend it, it is by John Lewis-Stempel and the full title is Six Weeks, The short and gallant life of the British officer in the First World War. Published in paperback by Orion books in 2011, though first published by Weidenfeld & Nicholson in 2010.
