Taka, Thanks for the quick reply. Apparently, the tag is missing. I think there is only a size stamp. NH

The instruction tags are usually missing.

Still a nice clean looking example.

Here is my service shirt with protective gas hood.

This service shirt has an anti-gas flap, but with rear GAS FLAP stampings on. Probably a prototype / experimental batch.

    Hope they help.

    Regards,
    Taka

Cotton underclothing! What do you folks think of these cotton items? I am not sure if the undershirt is from the WWII era. It has no markings. The shorts look WWII. Any thoughts? NH

The shorts are marked size 30. All markings in the shirt have disappeared. The undershirt is small and I assume it is a 36 or 38 size chest. NH

Hi Neil, they look fine to me.

Hi Taka, I used to own a shirt with Gas Flap markings the same as yours.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade. Well on my way. I think I still need wool trousers, trouser belt, socks, a "jeep cap" and combat boots. I want to get the rough out instead of the boot/leggings combo. Once that is all together I will post a photo of the ensemble. After that - field equipment! NH
