Strange Battle Dress pattern 40?

Hi friends,
here is a strange Battle dress that a friend of mine has in collection. The label, how you can read, is for a pattern 40 but there are the pleats on the pockets, the hidden buttons and the metal buckle I've never seen before!!!!

Can you tell me what is this ? A regular British BD or of an other allied country... or greek... or a fake?

Looks to me like a really nice British 37patt BD, with a 40patt label, not that unusual. The factory probably ran out of 37patt labels before the contract was fulfilled and just used 40pattern labels from the next contract. if you are not happy with it I will take it off your hands for no charge
