US 1st cavalry division uniform

Hello forum members.

Not my alley of interest, but promised a good friend i would post his uniform and get some help on it.
Only thing i know it is a sergeant first class ( SFC ) from 1st cavalry division...
would like to learn about all the insignia meaning, stripes on the sleeves meaning, medals, era etc.

All help much appriciated.

Looks beautiful, but I don't know these at all. There are a few on the forum that are pretty good with evaluating the US jackets. I wish I could help

Weird/odd for a transportation Soldier to be wearing a CIB, but perhaps he was in the Infantry before he became a Transportation Soldier. Also would expect a senior NCO serving at a Drill Sergeant Academy/School to be Drill Sergeant Qualified (no badge on the viewer's left lower pocket), but not a show stopper.
