vietnam american uniform???

HI this is my first thread so here i go, this is a uniform i bought for 20 dollars of store credit at a clothing exchange store. its Captain McInnis. is this real of repp??? it looks like a insignia on top of the label but i cant get a good shot. the other things are ranks pins a guy who worked there threw them in for free. they have a li Gi or L1G1 on the back

he was a real person but this jacket is worth around what you paid for it. im not sure where you are but i can pick you up a nice vietnam era uniform for $20 plus shipping if you really cant find one. jsut go down to a surplus store, they should have them by the rackfuls. this one is from the 80's or 90's as ncblksmth said.

What you have is a M-65 Field Jacket. The patch on the left is Forces Command and the one on the right is First Corps Support Command (this denotes a unit the wearer served in combat with). The black pin insignia is the rank of Specialist.

Some exotic camo designs, e.g. tiger stripe, were worn in Nam, but the basic GI uniform was non-camo olive-green herringbone twill.

The first one is USMC dated 1970, and the second is Army, dated 1968.
