War Era Australian Made High Boots?
Article about: Good evening all, I stumbled upon these for sale online. Dated '44, they are being sold here as 'Light-horse Boots'. I admit my knowledge on Australian footwear is not as sharp as it should

We supplied the Americans in the Pacific Theatre with a lot of gear around 1944. I would not be surprised if that included these boots. Very nice christek! I couldn't walk past those!

Ive been watching these as well...my only concern is that a well known Australian dealer of very dodgy militaria is also selling a similar pair very cheap..im trying to do a bit more research

On ebay mate.. I'm a bit torn. They look great but certainly an unknown style for me. I can't see them being repro, but who knows in this day and age.

Ok research complete, nothing overly exotic..AU made for US troops..nothing to do with Australian troops at all

Further to my suspicions on a known dodgy dealer, they do reproduce these...this photo is not from his site ,but a correctly advertised modern reproduction
