WWII 53rd Welsh uniform

Please, could you check the following pictures and tell me if this is a period WWII uniform?

The label at the tunic is marked "1944".

This is a perfect match set.

Well the BD top is WWII and is Canadian made (top hat buttons are a clue) and if the trousers are the same colour/shade they will be also since they have the field dressing pocket. Handy being an officers, means that the top eyelets were never used so the top of the collar is untorn.

Yes I had also spotted it was Canadian manufacture. Not sure if that makes it unusual for an English soldier to be wearing it, but Canadian BD is highly sought after in any case. Nice find.

WW2 Uniform but no arm of service strips so it survived into post-war service to have them removed.
Also some of those medals were not issued until sometime after the war suggesting post-war use.

The 53rd Welsh Division like most of the fist line Territorial Army Divisions survived until 1967 so quite if this BD was used war-time by the wearer is unknown. Look for holes where any Arm of Service strips may have been removed. Assuming the badge is original to the jacket it may have been the wearers best BD immediately post-war or during the 1950's.

Canadian BD was used by British forces during WWII and with the tailoring of the back this has been altered to be a best BD. I think the 53rd patches are a late war or post war version. Others have said all that can be said, nice to see the 1943 dated trousers, they are probably quite rare, certainly the British BD trousers are and would be worth more than the blouse.
