SADolch: I have no idea what it's worth, but I do have a question. Is that US Army or is it a civilian shooting medal? And what does RHG stand for? Dwight
Dwight........I believe it is a military medal ??????? the initials i think is the person that won the medal???????............Dave H
It looks closer to a civilian one in my mind: File:US Civilian Excellence-in-Competition Rifle Badges.png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
SADolch: I just ran through my copy of William K. Emerson, Marksmanship in the U. S. Army: A History of Medals, Shooting Programs, and Training, and I didn't see anything like that. The badges shown in Emerson's book, for the period 1881-1921, all have U.S. on them. But nothing at all like the one you posted. My guess is that it's a civilian badge. Dwight
OK, thanks for the update..........Dave H
