Hi all,
Can anyone explain why Capt Don Gentile USAAF Ace is wearing what appears to be a British WW1 war medal on his ribbon bar. I have seen several USAAF Aces wearing the same ribbon.
Cheers,
Shane

I believe the ribbon is for the Order of Orange-Nassau from the Netherlands, Check it out on Wikipedia. Regards,Paul
Thanks for the info paul have been searching for a while. Reason for asking is I got a very nice eagle squadron tunic with RAF wings and I thought it may have been a eagle squadron award.
Regards,
Shane
Interestingly the ribbon to the left of it looks like the British 1939-45 star, Don't know if this was issued to eagle squadron members. Intresting Regards Paul
I can't help with the ribbons, But that is a Great photo. Semper Fi Phil
