    Found Purple heart In Garbage!!!!!!I cant believe this. My friend is a Garbage man. He went to a dumpster in Downtown and He saw this in the garbage. He gave it to me and Is there a way to locate this Family since there is a name on this, If this really is the person. Looks like the label has bin on there for a long time. I don't collect these things and thank god it was saved.!
    the name I couldn't get a good picture, but it says Sgt. Edward H ( or II) Rogers Co. "L'" and in pencile the number 13

    Everything looks good, but the ribbon pin is missing the back clip, If it had one..

    My god what is this world turning into!!!!!!

    You could try the NARA database but may be difficult without a serial number to search by.

    You can search by each era (WW1, WW2, etc).

    NARA - AAD - Page not found

    There were a lot of records lost years ago in a fire I heard.

    I tried a general search but I think it was too broad.

    Also, from what I know there is NO database to search for Purple Heart recipients.

    any of his relatives - after all they

    A friend of mine had the same experience several years ago, found not only a Purple Heart but several other medals. If I'm not mistaken, the fact that the medal is named means that the soldiers died as a result of his wounds.
