Just added this little thing to my collection: Medal Of Honor

Article about: Vegar I don't think this is one of the back door medals. Just look at the inscription on the back the (to) is very very sloppy . Gary

I was lucky enough to find a Norwegian collector selling this a while back, and it arrived only yesterday. This has been on my "Want very badly, but will probably never get one because of price or rarity"-list, but now I have another one to cross off my list(I was also recently able to cross an M42 Paratrooper jacket off the list too ). It is either VN era, or late 90's, currently trying to get a hold of the neck ribbon for it.
I was really surprised at how small it really is in comparison to other medals(see last picture).

    Enjoy!

Can someone help explain this to me? I thought you could not buy these? Is it because it was sold in Norway?

In the US, it's against federal law to buy/sell the Medal of Honor. It is illegal to possess if you're not the original recipient or a relative, btw...

Like mentioned, it is illegal to possess/sell the MOH in the US, but seeing as I live in Norway, and the medal was sold in Norway, the rules do not apply to me(luckily).

I find it strange that the US military has not numbered these? Each one should have been listed to the owners name and military data.

BtW I know zero of western medals.

Are you sure it's an original? I know that they produce copies for museums, that's why I ask...
    Congratulations on this rare score!
    cheers, Glenn
