Hey guys i'm looking at buying this medal but i have no idea what it is or even where to start any help you can give is much appreciated

$20 ? It appears that it might be some sort of rework of a WWI medalion, as WWI
is known as the 'Great War' - except for the addition of mono winged aircraft !
Unofficial, but definitely American due to the 1941-45 date.........

Definitely a commemorative for WWII IMHO...I wouldn't pay more than $10-15 for it
