Up for opinion WWII France French Vichy Croix de Guerre

Was thrilled to do some research on this medal- Very interesting French medal especially if an occupation release.
Would be a nice addition to he collection if the real deal.

Realizing the ribbon is incorrect -
Hopefully the ribbon was given out after 44 so the medal could still have been worn.

It does not exactly match the original version yet not that familiar with the look of the wide annulus version.
The face and lettering match the Wide version yet the swords are connected?
It Seems to be right in between both -so- maybe a copy?
No Maker marks on the side.
Looks well worn as some finish remains.
Look forward to your opinion.
