    Hi, found this banner on the flea market today.
    Its very well made and detailed. The bullion is just superb, in my opinion.
    It has a very nice look to it and with great patina.

    Is this a known example? Apparently, the owner was a British veteran that came to live to Portugal.
    So its a local find.

    Cannot verify the story, so if possible leave your opinions on the banner.

    Very nice banner. I would suggest, looking at the workmanship, it was probably made / commissioned in the Far East as a (period) souvenir piece

    It is probably a pillow case, I have some of a similar type from the middle east. Very nice example.

    I Like it-well made and very large size and certainly Period! How many can there be in Portugal? Nice find, for sure!

    for a item from a british vet its very strange that it doe's not have the union jack on it !,only the USA flag.we oldens all know that Errol Flynn won the war in Burma for the USA,this just confirms that British and ANZAC guys were not there,$450.00 noway jose.

    I agree. As beautifully made as this piece is, there is no way I would pay 450 for it

    A beautiful flag but it think the top on it is 125 and that is generous
