7 steps to hell

My great-uncle was in army during ww2. i have an bracelet with a plate on it with 7 steps to hell insignia,Germany ,1946. . i also have all of his papers. Durning the war he wed a Polish woman that was in a displaced persons camp. All that paper work is in my possession. The main question i have is about the bracelet. He recieved American Defense Service Medal,WorldWW2 Victory Medal, European,African Middle Eastern Campagin Medal. Any info would be appreciated.

There was a thriving postwar cottage-industry in Germany (and elsewhere) producing souvenirs for the occupation forces...I believe this is an example of such an item...
My father was stationed in Mannheim with the 7th Army when he met my German mother in the 1960s...

German made "Germany" scroll , US made Seventh Army and possible German made "seven steps to Hell" , note these would of been worn off duty in Europe but when they were heading back State side they would of used the Seventh patch only-far from the pole is okay but once CONUS another story.
Saying that some one will turn up a pic with a guy wearing in CONUS!!

The "Top Hat" was the NCO Club in Mannheim/Kaeferthal, Germany...7th Army occupied the Mannheim area...cheers, Glenn
