I have been building up my patch collection and recently purchased this patch. I am ok with cloth patches but I am not entirely sure on this one? Any opinions, I like the paint but the leather looks a bit new, maybe just unused?

It looks new to me.
Much easier to tell in hand just by smelling it.

It is the smell of new leather and new paint, not old smell

I think I was told was the feeling of the leather, I was always told that a good sign of an original is somewhat supple leather and not completely stiff but this is not always the case. My overall feeling of the patch is a newer made repro within the last 20 years
