Ok .. I'm not up on the production/variants of US WW2 badges, although from this group I am 100% happy with the 9th Airforce badge as a "British Made" item.

The question is now .... are the rest of WW2 vintage ?
(I picked up this group from a car boot sale this morning !)

    Hi Gary,

On first sight they look good to me, but i'm no expert! Try Marc Bando's website below, he knows his onions alright!!

    Cheers Ned,
.. The Screaming eagle fits the Brando description to a tee for the "type 2" British made variant !.

    Thanks for the replies ..
After a further bit of research, I gather the British made 101st Eagle is infact quite a "rare bird" !!

Red Tongued fine wool British made !

Yes indeed that 101st patch is rare and looks like a real corker! Great find! Ahhh.... I love car boot sales...

Yes some very nice patches there, again the big problem is that the repros of airborne insigina are getting spot on to the originals. Years ago the give away was always the way the edge was finished off, however they have even start to get that correct, as well.
