Good morning gents I came across this capbadge on the weekend is there anyway to tell when it was issued it is a pinback style with no markings sorry forgot to take a picture of the back.

I thinks it is ww2 cause ive seen them a couple times in my collecting book.

looks ok to me, its got a kings crown with australian commonwealth military forces written on it.....these were made til 1949 i think, so could possibly be ww2

Thank you Gentlemen I knew it was pre 1953 do to the kings crown but could not find when they stopped production of this particular cap badge.

What size is it? Large are for slouch hats and small for peak caps, side caps and jacket collars and it is WW2
Rene it is 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall so would this be considered the larger one for a slouch hat.

Consider it WW2 any 46-49 would be quite rare as most would have been pre 45 mfg because of the huge scaling down of the armed forces. There is no real way of determining post 45.
Also look very closely at the rear as Aussie mfg. marks can be difficult to see.
Oh when you say pin back it's like this yes? also note the feint mfg. mark

Yes Rene are two capbadges look to be twins there is also a feint mark on mine as well But I will need to have a closer look with a loop and some better light to be shur what it is .
