    That type of pin was used from Imperial times thru and probably after WWII in Germany, and can be found on everything from tinnies to day badges to medal award ribbons. I once even had an Iron Cross 2nd class from WWI that had been field modified by cutting the ring off of the top and soldering one of these type pins on the reverse in the vertical position.

    Hi Nick,

    ah ok so this was german made so presume that means post war & not WW2 as sold as ????????

    Hi Nick, that is correct. These will be post war produced in Germany for the US Army. But they are quite desirable in their own right because of this.

    we had that blue ribbon and a Brown shoulder rope w/ brass nozzel awarded by the French WW I to the 3rd Div. , i wore it 56 - 59 10th Engr. 3rd Division, US Army

    thanks Ade now i know a little more then i did before & even though these aren't WW2 as they were sold, for £6.99 im not worried

    Hi Nick, they look like good additions to your ever expanding US collection. I recognise most of them. But the USN/USMC medals I am not familiar with? Are these good conduct medals?
