    I got this a while ago for reenacting purposes and it's been bugging me since regarding its authenticity. I'm thrown off by the fact that although it is white metal, it looks really really new. However the lugs on the back look legitimate enough.

    What's the opinion of those more knowledgable on this subject? And why?

    Maybe it was never issued, therefore still mint condition? The Queen's Coronation probably made a lot of badges obsolete overnight (yours is King's crown).
    Makes me wonder what will happen in the UK and Australia when the Queen (God bless her) is no longer on the throne?
