Help Identifying British patches

Article about: Hello, I need help identifying the patches shown below. They came from my dad's collection and I believe most date to WWII era. Thanks in advance for your help Tom

    Yeah but it would have to be on a pay per view site, i dont think Ade would let me describe why on the forum

    Thanks all for the prompt and detailed replies. I can only imagine what the signals cap badge looks like
    Assuming these patches are all WWII vintage, is there much value in them? I am thinking of selling these.

    Tom,

    The Royal Signals cap-badge is of Mercury, the winged messenger of the gods, also known as "Signals Jimmy" for reasons best known to the "Scaley's" (British Army slang for a member of the Royal Signals) and nobody else!!.
    If you google British Army - Royal Signals, you should be able to find loads of info about them.

    Bottom row, left to right,Pair of bells, 47th. (London) division. Bulldog on black, Eastern Command,U.K. Black plane with red sword,1st. Anti/Aircraft Division. Red circles on karki I believe are USA badges. The Tigers head is for South-Eastern CommandU.K. WLA, Womens Land Army.Black Plane with flames on karki background 5th. Anti-Aircraft Div. REME Royal electrical and mechanical engineers. Gold Lion on red background Scottish Command Troops.The one I do not know is the red upright bar with the yellow spike through it, John.
