Very nice Dean. I could not comment on whether it is British or Canadian Buffs, though I don't remember seeing the British using the extra scroll between the Buffs scroll and the grassy plinth, though Sweethearts do not always accurately depict regimental badges, but if pushed for an opinion I would go for Canadian Buffs.

These kinds of badges are good fun to collect, especially here in Australia. I've been able to find many myself in antique shops and at market stalls which keeps collecting exciting, I think.
It seems many Australian servicemen traded/acquired badges from other commonwealth regiments as they often pop up!
