How can I identify fake cloth shoulder titles and cap badges?
Hi all. I have been given a nice framed set of cloth shoulder titles and their corresponding cap badges, Glider Pilot Regt, The Buffs, Hampshire Regt and 17/21 Lancers.
I am suspicious of this kind of thing. They look great but are there any ways I can make sure they are genuine? I have heard of using a UV light but im not sure how it all works. Sorry to be a pest but any comments would be appreciated.
Regards.

Look for key differences between a real one (google images of some) and the one you have.

Re: How can I identify fake cloth shoulder titles and cap badges?
This is a very broad subject. All these items are faked and have been so for decades.
You need to post each item on the forum.
UV or Blacklight as it is known will make any modern white thread glow a bright neon blue.
Cheers, Ade.
