    Hi mate

    Its US Army Forces Middle East approved April 1944. It was redesignated Africa Middle East Theatre March 1945 and inactivated May 1946.

    Note he is wearing at as a "Combat" patch. He also has the honorable discharge insignia over his right breast pocket. So he has just been discharged.
