This patch is 100% authentic it is commonly refered to as OD border these are variants made for what ever reason by manufactures much much harder to find than regular, Chris the patch you have shown is just one reproduction and a poor one the man who has it sell tons of repros, that is the only one on at the moment almost 100 percent that this is a period patch

I just happened to see a uniform with the patch OD border one about 2 month ago still might be for sale if so I'll buy it and post pictures came from the estate of a vet the patch was no glow will post pics if I see it again

This patch is very beautiful and I am sure that it is original, I have the same patch and I got it from my grandma and she got from U.S. soldier in 1945, I can send photos.

US Military Indian head or 2nd division patches never had a green border.
Only fake patches do. Look on E-bay.
