Very appropriate on Independence Day! Nice flag and thanks for posting!
The only trouble with 48 star flags is Dating them. This flag could just as easily be WWI,WWII or even Korean War era or anywhere in between. This design was used from 1912 to 1959! Nuno's flag has pretty thin and fragile material-it could well be a WWI age! Very nice flag in Any case, however!

"Much that once was, is lost. For none now live who remember it."
It has finally arrived, one day before my birthday.
Its made of very thin material and moth eaten.
The top part is rope supported and stamps are very faded, the only one readable is 4x6.
I belive its earlier than ww2.
Enjoy.
Cheers.

It seems that Vincent J Spelman is no longer in business.
I think the stamp above the maker tag, says "Wool" 4x6 ?
Cheers.
