    very nice 48 star flag they can very addictive i have 6 so far along with 4x 50 star & 1x 45 star

    I will need one of these soon when I get my first ww2 M1 and make a little US display

    PS, Nuno, I was interested and just googled some info on your 'worlds oldest alliance' sig. I did not know that, very interesting! English aid to Portugal apparently goes even further back to the 12th century when we helped King Afonso Henriques take Lisbon on our way to the Crusades. Great stuff

    Nice flag. I have a 48 star too. Stitched stripes but printed stars and brass eyelets at the hoist end. I guess there were many variations?

    I think it would be more like this "We can spare five minutes, lets help those poor guys jump over the wall"

    From the research I've done if it's wool it's most likely pre WWII. They said once WWII started most of the wool went towards the war effort for uniforms.
