Thanks so much to everybody for taking the time and effort to respond.
Well, I'm still looking for information, but it seems things like dimensions are really difficult to find, though it's probably me being useless at Googling.
I did find this very disheveled original example, and it certainly displays the weave!
It seems from what I have learned that the 82nd Airborne Division wore the cloth flag originally, maybe about the time of D-Day, with it being adopted by other units in time for the Holland campaigns.
I'll treat the one I have as a nice copy, unless anything else shows up. At least then I'll not be disappointed.
