new MOTTO ,for the royal lancers ,

the Royal lancers is a new regiment , made up from the 16th/5th / 17th/21st / 9th/12th LANCERS ,
this is the new MOTTO that is proposed for the new reg ,, i has had a BIG THUNBS DOWN from all involved
what do you guys think ,, first pic is OR motto , second pic is OFFICERS ,
the third pic is the motto that has been put foward by the old comrades ,

Hi Ian, the third one would be my choice. The others look too gaudy for my liking when it come to British badges.

hi ade ,, there is much of a todo going on about this at the moment , we old comrades put foward the third one ,but you know how it goes
the first two were designed by a comitee , and it shows LOL ,, most important though is that the motto is being kept , in one form or another

this im told is where the idea came from ,, its a motto from PT kit early 80s , not much emagination used there then

How come all new skulls in new military badges look like something out of "call of duty" or the "punisher"!

the 17th / 21st lancers MOTTO has not changed since 1922 so it is by no meens new

And of course the motto was that worn by the 17th Lancers prior to that. Here is my circa 1890-1900 example in silver, so more likely the punisher etc stole their skulls from those of an earlier period.
