Very nice battalion badges Dave. I would like to see a pic of your collection. I have been collecting the current ones with lapels (as I don't really have the resources I need to chase the earlier badges).

Thanks Oz, Nice board Stu well done mate.

These are only file images (some are not the best) of a part of my lot on display at the Georgetown RSL Museum. I have plenty more Insignia eg General Service,1930-42 Militia not displayed there as I have run out of space in the cabinet.

Looks like I missed a sector of the Militia insignia when I took these images back in August last year. I will post all my 1930-42 items over the week-end for you Oz.
    Hope you enjoy.

    All the best

Cheers Mick, Plenty more at home not on display.

    Woow Dave !!

    That is IMPRESSIVE ~

Just showed the snaps to Merete my partner ~ more about softening the blow with her ~ before the hoards arrive in the Post !! LOL

Even she went "Wow!" And she asks if we can have the same ~ and oh the stand ~ Can we have the stand!

( Not sure where we are going to put that in our unit though !! )

( My purchases started purely on the basis of my MD and archaeological finds and as I post on the couple of web Blogs ~ many other MD folks either offer additional items or want to trade ~

The problem being that they blokes want the same items, i.e. the AMF and Commonwealth brass buttons ~ plus officers pips ~ but I can't dig them fast enough ! LOL So I started buying "stocks" to trade with ~

The latest is several recovered and disarmed .50 cal rounds ~ circa 1942-43 ~ The expensive ones ~ I was stunned when I was advised by "my resident Military advisor ~ aka "Torch" that a WWII 50 cal is worth even on 'Mate's rates' <$8-10> each ! )

Awesome display there Dave! Interesting alternative to the flat-framed displays. The glass and all-round display certainly gives the badges jewel-like qualities.
