    These are the only lugs I have seen like this also. The lug frame has been punched and the clips slid in. They are tight and non removable.
    There interesting little critters.

    Sorry Fellas I was going to post some GS badges tonight but my images ended up to poor to post. I will have another crack at imaging them tomorrow after work as I need the light.

    Just use flash like I do set the camera to macro get a piece of A4 printer paper to put the badge on for a background and take them from a distance... Then crop them down to size.
    Take 3 or 4 pics from varying distances and angles and chose the best one.

    Nice one Rene even the hat is the WW2 style as well I think they used these up until the early 50's
