Off topic being a WW1 replacement (I think) but worth a look.
A Tiptaft UK made General Service collar.
It's had the lugs removed and a new pin attached so transforming it into a Sweetheart badge, but nice all the same.
This GS collar is physically smaller than the norm and is a rather stylish design I feel.
All the best fella's
Dave
Two nice badges mate, I love the design of those Tiptaft collars they look classy
G'day Luke,
The tiptaft collar is a nice little thingo that's for sure. Classy in design as you put it mate.
Shame about the pin though but I do like it I must say.
I think we have WW1 Tiftaft made examples of both hat and collar GS badges as well as Rene's Australia title on the thread now.
Any Gaunt made examples out there fella's ?
I picked up this little ripper last week and have another collar and a hat badge in transit to me at present.
39th "The Hawthorn Kew Regiment" single collar.
I've been saving gold coin for over 12 months to fund a good Heer lid but bit the bullet and cashed in a good chunk of it for this collar and the items in transit. The other two pieces should be here Monday I feel.
These will go into the museum soon as I'm slowly putting together a 1942 "New Guinea" display. This set will take centre stage.
Here's the uniform part of the display. It's still a work in progress.
It's name is "Ralph". I'll let you work it out.
Later fella's
