R.A.O.C. shoulder title embroidered (blue letters on red cloth). Disregard yellow thread used to attach it to an embroidery item! (Printed version used in 1943, embroidered either at the same tame or later).
    Questions:
    1. Is it WW II?
    2. Was it used before WW II?
    3. Was it used later or probably still in use?
Thanks for being kind to answer.

Hi, it is more than likely a private purchase WW2 era item, but it could equally be late 1940's or 1950's. It is really impossible to say for sure. They just did not change.

    Certainly not pre WW2.

This title went out of use once Battledress was discontinued in the early 1960's.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm not so sure Ade, I have a "paratroop regiment" shoulder title that was stitched onto a handkerchief in a similar way. I suspect this may be the same.
The handkerchief was about 30x30cm, trimmed with white lace. It had "for mother" carefully stitchedon it and in the middle was a tiny pink pin cushion.
    A lovely item.

Hi Luc, to be honest I was not looking at the stitching, just the title itself. Yes, this will be a bit of "flash".

I must have seen the title you mentioned the other year at your house?

    Cheers, Ade.
