RAF buttons

    I think these are RAF buttons, are they any good for trade, or just scrap?
    I think they are aluminium.
    And could anyone date them?

    Kings crown, if British, means they are before 1953, though the RAF is not something I know much about.

    They are marked on the back "brior brevete".
    Any information on the "Brior" name is very welcome as well.

    Could you post a closeup picture of just one button, face on? As it is it's hard to tell - twisting my head all round trying to see just one button properly

    From what I can see, I think the crown is Belgian, not British

    That is also my idea, the crown doesn't seem to be a British King's or Queen's crown!

    Its not RAF, i have seen brass, black and a few flat chromed none of which have the attachment for sewing on like these. If they are aluminium then the rust must be coming from something else in the box.
