RE flaming bomb insignia!

Article about: Hi mates!I recently aquired a Royal Engineers Service Dress jacket.I would like to hear your opinion about the flames at the flaming bomb insignia(with the motto:UBIQUE=everywhere in latin).

    Yes, but it is named to an officer who was thrown out of the army in 1944 and these caps were only made from 43 onward so it dates to either 1943 or 1944.

    Hi Ade,

    you did see it when I first posted it. All I have is a link to the London Gazette 6th February 1945, which does not say much.

    Sold the mess silver was my thought, though perhaps something more serious such as getting the Colonel's daughter in the family way and not doing the decent thing could be another possibility, LOL.

    ASTON served in 15th London Regt and 10th London Regt WW1.
    He was dismissed in 1944 for "Being Drunk on active service"
