    Very nice, and almost certainly a WWII-era flag because of the use of steel grommets instead of brass (needed for ammunition production).

    Yes its always nice to have the right U.S. flag in your collection for the WWII period, oh this does so annoy me , when you go to wartime dances, or you see in war movies the current Stars and Stripes used instead of one with 48 stars on it, I don't know some people just don't do there research.

    Well Steve, this is freaky! Either that or it's that great minds think alike! I just posted that same thought about the steel grommets over on the "other" forum where Nick has this posted also!
