U.S. WW2 Patch ...?

I found this walking through an antique store today and took a chance for $4.00. Does anyone know what it is?

Not WW II.
It has a merrowed edge. WW II patches have a cut edge.
I don't know anything about modern patches.

Most likely from the 70s or 80s common patch the ones to look for are the cut edge ones as mentioned
