Hi Mario, it is the cap badge of the South Wales Borders. The cap fitting is broken off the back.
The design shows the battle honours gained in the 19th century.
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Ade.Now when you told me what this abbreviation SWB means,I have found many information on the net.Really old British unit with rich history.
Cheers

I knew you would be able to find out lots of info, once you knew the Regiment. They are vey famous.
The broken cap fitting will hurt the value very badly. Here in the UK it would only now be worth about £5 or 5 Euros maximum.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Ade.Thanks for information.Yes it is pitty about cap fitting.
Maybe you can help me with some link/s about WW2 British regiments.I'm collector of WW1 and WW2 British campaign medals.
After finishing my collection I would like to collect cap or beret badges from WW2.
Cheers

The British and Commonwealth Military badge forum will have every thing on it that you need to find out. Beware there are some on there whose info is suspect, but on the whole a very good informative site. John.
