A little research so far,found similar colors to 14th army..am looking further

Would it be of any help to tell you the Adjutant General's Corps (AGC) Lanyards were/are Red & Black!

This belongs to 10th Battalion The Parachute Regiment (10 Para) TA. I joined in 79
Lanyards, they certainly appear to be one of the least understood of any British insignia. Four members responded all with a different answer, which is about right in my experience.

This is 10 Para.
Looks like yours is Doubled so may not be the same!

This one came on a 37 pattern BD devoid of any insignia.
There is certainly scope for a book on lanyards....
