US Flag Patch and Some US Insignia

Looks like the flag may be off of an invasion armband

The invasion flag patch is a real good one. There were singles like this worn also.

Since that is what it is I know wonder where he got it he had a buddy in the 101 that jumped into Normandy and broke his leg and hid out until daylight he used to buy me a pop at the VFW bar when I was a kid. I wonder if he may have gave it to him or maybe it was something issued to dad as he was in Normandy just right after the initial invastion. THanks to all on this. timothy
