WWII German Flag

This is supposed to be a late war painted flag liberated from Covington Germany 1945? It was supposedly dated with the place by the US soldier that liberated it. I bought it at a estate sale along with the liberating soldier's military documents. The flag passed the black light test but I would like to know what you guys think!

Well for starters, there's no "Covington" Germany. Perhaps it was the GI's name?

It's original. It sure has maintained an interesting sheen over the years. Must have been been packed well. Nice swivel clip too.
