1943 M1 Garand bayo

Article about: Everything good? Here is the description on it "Started out as a 16 inch bayonet but was shortened by Springfield to 10 inches." Just curious if it all comes out good.

Yes, it is an original. As stated it was originally 16” and cut down to 10”.

    Utica Cutlery (UC), Utica, NY.
    Production Output
200,000 M1905 bayonets 1942 (It was originally one of these)
    880,000 M1 bayonets from 1943 to 1945.
    75,000 M1 bayonets (Korean War)

Not a particularly rare variant and in the U.S. worth between $75-$125. There are always plenty of these on eBay.
